All the insects parading around outside … gotta love this season.
Jade (4 yrs old) created this beautiful handprint for Mother’s Day.
… and Mommy LOVED it !!!
While at Grandma’s place, Jade and I looked at old photo albums.
Jade especially loved our wedding album.
After we paged through it, Jade immediately started drawing.
It was so cool seeing her so excited about this magical day.

Tomorrow is our family’s 13th wedding anniversary.
I’m so grateful for our lifetime of love together.
Here’s a photograph of our first dance as husband and wife.
Two of many reasons I fell in love:
· Her humour & imagination.
· Her incredible drawings.
She’s a wonderful mother … Our daughter is so lucky.
When they close their eyes, they feel their wings …
Jade thinks everyone should dance in the sun.
Her butterflies are flittering the right of the page.
The ascending “M’s” are Jade’s talking symbols.

The image is a visual response to an engaging post:
The Animated GIF: The Antithesis of Mindfulness
Personally, I love rich visual imagery … It’s the way I think and communicate.
For me, the best Art has ambiguity. I like having the time and silence to appreciate and question.
But now, EVERYDAY feels like an animated gif. The average person is exposed to 3,500 advertising messages a day. We devour images, resources and ideas.
And along the way, maybe we’re debasing and dehumanizing ourselves?
My wife and a detail of our large drawing. We are the people in your neighbourhood (haha).
Yea, we like to draw … we probably drive all our neighbours crazy.
Jade & I collaborate with chalk art at the farmer’s market kid zone.
I’ll draw the shapes, Jade’ll draw the details (faces in shapes, shoes, arms, etc.)
At this party, everyone is colourful and flying.
Jade drawing with her soother … It helps her get in “the zone.” (haha)
