My wife drew these fun monsters and Jade named them.

Noises of Christmas Past

Noises Of Christmas Past

Bing! Bang! Click! Clang!

Christmas in 1974. It started as the funnest, loudest Christmas ever. I really wanted that guitar. And I also received an amazing Fisher Price family camper.

Christmas Camper

Later that day, my dad opened up the camper. He took out the cool clicking noise because it was driving him CRAZY.

When I later met my wife, I couldn’t believe she had the SAME camper … and it still made that SAME clicking noise.

Lucky!

Retro Family Camper

Almost 40 years later, my daughter Jade LOVES playing with the camper.

Do ya Gotchya Gitch ???

Looks like someone is missing their underwear …

This quirky pic was drawn by my wife when Jade was being potty trained and our talked veered towards “undergarments”.

I once lived in Saskatchewan and the popular slang for underwear was gotch (and also gitch). When I later moved to Alberta and British Columbia, I found out the locals referred to their underwear as gonch (and also ginch). Yes, it is goofy … but it made for some funny dialogue about regional differences.

Any weird or interesting slang from your corner of the globe?

Make Like A Tree and “Leaf”

Make Like A Tree And Leaf

Almost all the leaves are gone … but this old guy refuses to “leaf”.

Recently, the weather has been amazing and we’ve had some amazing family-walks.
