Hockey Weekend Time !!!

Hockey Weekend

Just another typical Canadian weekend on the ice.

Spirits Of The Forests

Emily Carr Style Drawing

In British Columbia, there are amazing First Nation’s Totem Poles.

Jade loves looking at the figures and imagining their connections.

I created an Emily Carr inspired image for Jade (above).

The Anthropology Museum in Vancouver hosts many amazing artworks (below).

Remembering Those Snowy Sunsets

Snowy Sunsets

I grew up on the Canadian prairies and we played in the snow all day.

But, I especially loved walking outside when the sun was going down.

Sometimes, the snow-drifts would catch some amazing colours .

The Mesmerizing Northern Lights

Northern Lights

A hint of Arctic air.

It was chilly in Vancouver today.

I was telling Jade about the beauty of the Northern Lights.

I grew up in the Canadian prairies and we’d see them often.

The Northern Lights dance, glow and shimmer across the dark sky.

The Canadian winter brings many moments of creative beauty.

Yesterday, during a family walk, I photographed some ice.

Always appreciate the simple beauty around you.

I Will Never Leaf You

It’s raining outside but we’re still having fun.

An overview of our “play station.”

Jade named the drawing and she also “wrote” the caption in red.

A fun snail detail from our final drawing.

“I’ll Never Leaf You” … the final drawing.

Day At The Beach

Summer is almost over so we had to enjoy one last day at the beach.

Making sandy circles with Jade at Barnet Marine Park in Burnaby, British Columbia.

A jelly fish floated along the beach shore.

A sunbathing seal enjoyed the afternoon with us too.

First Time Camping

My wife roasting some marshmallows for Jade.

Jade’s first S’more experience .. An new level of tasty fun!!!

Magnificent view from our campsite @ Golden Ears Provincial Park, British Columbia, Canada.

Beach Swirl

My nephew and family have fun at Spanish Banks Beach in Vancouver, Canada. The art is influenced by Andy Goldsworthy.
