Pumpkin Face

Can’t wait to carve my pumpkin this year!

Salmon Season

A magical time of the year.

Rainy Day Doodles

Fun family time together!

It’s still rainy weather outside but we’re still doodling.

Jade draws a “glowy chicken” on the iPad.

A leaf rubbing detail.

A detail of my wife’s fun doodles.

A graphic expression of the letter “S”.

A detail of my “Mambo” doodle.

Jade drew “Steppy” on her head.

Jade said, “This is a lion.”

“This is a dragon.” Jade tried writing the caption near her drawing.

She also said, “That’s a mushroom” for the shape under the dragon.

“This is a sun.” Jade describes her drawing.

“It’s a little worm parade.” Jade explains the bottom squiggles on the page.

The 2nd and 3rd squiggles are “meows.”

Leaf Weaving

Creating a “rainbow” blend of leaves along our fence (inspired by Andy Goldsworthy).

1. Sorting our leaves.

2. Stacking and “blending” the colour.

3. The pile is organized to create “rainbow” blend.

4. Leaves are put on the fence (background).

5. A detail of the colourful leaves on the wire fence.

I Will Never Leaf You

It’s raining outside but we’re still having fun.

An overview of our “play station.”

Jade named the drawing and she also “wrote” the caption in red.

A fun snail detail from our final drawing.

“I’ll Never Leaf You” … the final drawing.

Autumn Puddles

It is officially fall in Vancouver — and the rainy season has arrived with a big splash.

Don’t forget your umbrella.

Autumn Leafs

Jade & I collaborated on a fun leaf project during StrongStart.

All the leaves were collected during our nature walk. Very fun!!

Salmon Chalk Art

Detail from our drawing.

The view from our window.

The Salmon Are Back !!!

This is a collaborative image we produced last year. Jade and I sighted our 1st spawning salmon yesterday. We also watched the fishermen converge under the bridge.

Family Tree

Talking to my daughter about the many people and parts of our family.
