The Snow Queen

The Snow Queen

Looks like Lady Winter has arrived early this year in Vancouver.

My drawing is inspired by the story The Snow Queen from Hans Christian Andersen.

The swirls in the image are inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s painting Starry Night.

It’s beautiful outside. Below is a photo from of our local trails.

An image created from last week’s Vancouver Draw Down online daily challenge:

Tape two different crayons or markers together and cover a page with doodles using this tool.

Rocking Snails

Rocking Snails

Early this morning, I saw an amazing snail during my walk.

When I arrived home, I told Jade all about it.

Instantly, she wanted to draw the snail with a bunch of friends.

Initially, Jade wanted to draw herself juggling … but she changed her mind while drawing.

Mutating Leopard Spots

Mutating Leopard Spots

Maybe a leopard can change their spots ???

Another creation during “Art Time” with my nieces and nephews at Grandma’s.

Happy Birds; Turning Frowns Upside Down

Happy Birds
One can’t be angry all the time (haha).

Last year, Jade’s cousin came over … He LOVES the “Angry Birds” game.

Jade kept wondering “Why do they have to be soooo angry all the time.”

I said the pigs never learned “to play” growing up.

Sending My Love via Air Mail

Sending My Love via Air Mail

A fun day creating with Jade.

We cut some great old printed material and added doodle lines.

I’m always a sucker for stamps and cancellation artwork.

And The Cow Jumped Over The Moon

The Cow Jumped Over The Moon

Hey Diddle Diddle !

… the little Jade laughed to hear such sport …

Jade and I really love listening to nursery rhymes together.

This nonsensical ditty might be our favourite.
