Both of us exploring pastel chalk drawings at StrongStart.
All joking aside, Jade and I had a blast at StrongStart yesterday.
StrongStart is a FREE early education program in BC, Canada.
The top drawing is a fun doodle from our pressed plants (shown below).
Jade really loved being in the trails and picking leaves and flowers.
And I really liked drawing from our exploration.
This exercise helped me focus on unique details and shapes of our local plants.
All the insects parading around outside … gotta love this season.
We just came back from Grandma’s home in Saskatchewan.
Grandma is “old school” and doesn’t have any cable tv or internet connections.
Because of that, we spent a lot of time drawing, going to to the playground, etc.
Jade had a wonderful time seeing all her cousins, aunts, uncles …
And Jade especially loved seeing her Grandma again.
Lately, we’ve been dog-sitting our neighbour’s amazing black lab.
The dog’s name is Gunnar and he’s eight years old.
He has the perfect temperament for children.
Gunnar doesn’t jump up on people and he doesn’t lick faces either.
He’s the perfect friend for Jade.
She absolutely adores him.
A fun spring doodle for Jade.
It’s been around a month since we’ve seen the pink trees.
Earlier in May, the ground was covered in pink snow (image below).
A visual pleasure … but my allergies had mixed feelings.
My wife doodled this amazing drawing for Jade!
It’s cool in the air and very beautiful outside.
Jade and I picked flowers and drew a picture for our special lady.
This was part of our beautiful walk together. Life doesn’t get any better!
