My little daughter has so much energy.
Jade’s my wild flower.
She’s the wildest rose.
Jade received a beautiful letter last week from a guest drawer !!!
Ziggy Short Crust is on a quest to revive the lost art of letter writing.
This is her post about Jade’s letter.
The drawings, writing and details are so beautiful!

During Christmas, we set up a pretend mail box.
Jade couldn’t believe it … A real letter for her !!!
After the letter, Jade demanded some lady bug puddle jumping!
Thank you so much Ziggy for brightening our rainy day!
It’s always exciting when my wife and daughter come home!
Three is such a wonderful age and Jade has been fascinated by our Christmas tree.
Our family stares at the lights for hours and we talk about the all different ornaments.
There are a few gifts under the tree and Jade likes guessing what they are.
It’ll be so fun around the tree and finally unwrapping our presents.
Almost all the leaves are gone … but this old guy refuses to “leaf”.
Recently, the weather has been amazing and we’ve had some amazing family-walks.
Jade and I draw and think about our beautiful family time yesterday …
A spectacular Metro Vancouver trail during a rare sunny break in November.
Actually, I like the rain. If dressed properly, It’s so much fun!
An old pic of Jade and her mom on puddle patrol.
Ready, set …
Jade & I had a beautiful walk today.
… Remembering the leaves floating down the river.
The tree in front only has a few leaves left.
Creating a “rainbow” blend of leaves along our fence (inspired by Andy Goldsworthy).
1. Sorting our leaves.
2. Stacking and “blending” the colour.
3. The pile is organized to create “rainbow” blend.
4. Leaves are put on the fence (background).
5. A detail of the colourful leaves on the wire fence.
